But first, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Fleming, and I have been a practicing nurse practitioner for the last 10 years both in critical care and aesthetics. I am also the proud owner of The Alchemy Clinic, located in Manchester, NH. My entry into medical aesthetics is unique in that I was never really seeking this out, rather this field found me and doesn’t seem to be letting go. Perhaps this was luck, but over the last few years, life has shown me that the universe works in mysterious ways to help us achieve our dreams.
For those who know me, you know that I have a lot to say… So I really couldn’t think of a better way to share my love and passion for medicine, patient care, business ownership, and creativity than with starting this blog.
Having spent many years at the bedside at a teaching hospital, I genuinely understand how important it is to share knowledge and openly discuss medical cases with colleagues. However, when I started in the field of aesthetics I quickly realized that knowledge sharing was not as free-flowing or readily given as it was in the clinical setting. But times are changing and so is the opportunity to elevate this amazing field of medical aesthetics.
Medical aesthetics continues to grow at a rapid pace. Aesthetic and cosmetic medicine was in its infancy in the 1980’s and 1990’s; however, fast forward to the mid 2000’s and this field has taken off exponentially! Medical aesthetics is truly a unique medical specialty and when practiced safely and correctly, has so much to offer patients!
