Kybella is the only FDA approved injectable fat dissolver on the market. Initially created to erase double chins, Kybella is an enzyme that destroys fat cells and your body, then metabolizes them permanently. Prior to its FDA approval in 2016, Kybella went through rigorous clinical trials which proved its efficacy, safety profile, and no permanent adverse effects.

Prior to kybella treatment you will need a thorough exam to determine whether or not you are an appropriate candidate for treatment. The average patient requires between 2 to 4 treatments. Treatments take roughly 20 minutes and are spaced 6 weeks apart. The fat reduction results are permanent! Most patient need 2-3 vials of Kybella on their first session with tapering doses for each treatment thereafter.

Researchers have found that the number of fat cells in your body is set during adolescence and remains constant through adulthood, regardless of whether you gain or lose weight. Fluctuations in weight cause these fat cells (adipocytes) to either increase or decrease in size. So when fat cells are removed via surgical liposuction or with injectable Kybella, the treated area will not gain as much fat back comparably since the number of these fat cells in the area have been permanently reduced.
